Event Photography

I specialize in capturing the spirit of an event in perfect moments. Instants in time that are unpredictable, unposed, and truly unique. This requires more than the ability to compose a picture the split-second it happens, but an innate understanding of the nature of the event so that you are ready when and where the moments take place. It also takes technical expertise, state-of-the-art equipment, quick reflexes, and patience. Posed pictures have their place and I provide that service as well. But the eye and heart can tell the difference between a genuine moment and one that has been "recreated." A visit to the Gallery is the best way to understand the difference between my spontaneous event, and posed photography.

Event Pricing

Event pricing is distinct in that it is generally dependent on the number of people involved. The larger the event, typically, the lower the price. It may even make money as a fundraiser for the event host. If your event involves fewer than 25 potential customers please refer to the portrait pricing below. Portrait Photography

There are several things that make a portrait truly amazing: setting, lighting, subject and positioning. The key is to make it natural, and make the conditions work to your advantage.

I have spent 25 years exploring Provo and vacinity looking for the best possible locations, ones with the largest variety and most visual interest. But if you have a place in mind, I can make the most of it, too. 
Lighting is critical, and not everyone gets it. I do. And even outdoors, I know when and how to use artificial light to make everything look its best.
I leave clothes and hair to you, but with years of experience in feature film & stage, I can definitely help you understand what photographs best. You can't see yourself when the camera fires. I will make sure everything is perfect before it does.
